Hi Guest. Airplanes fly because their wings have a special shape and movable elements, which create the lifting force that holds the aircraft in the air during the motion. The motion is provided by the engines of the aircraft. If the engines stop during the flight, the aircraft will begin to fall down to the ground. By the way, the principle of flying birds is the same, but the birds have muscles instead of the engine.
